About the presenter

David Liu is the creator of Space Maria and founder of EMPTY CEL LLC, a creative studio inspired by the golden age of anime. His work blends retro aesthetics with modern storytelling, spanning animation, game development, and comics. Known for his adaptability, David’s art ranges across multiple styles, making him a versatile collaborator in any medium. Over the course of his career, David has contributed to hundreds of beloved franchises. His recent illustration and key art credits include collaborations with Dotemu, SNK, Sega, Capcom, Koei Tecmo, Limited Run Games, Tribute Games, UDON, and EVO. Currently, David is focused on developing Space Maria into a multimedia franchise, with plans for a manga, video game, and animated series.
