Join us on Thursday, October 29 at 11am PDT (California Time) for a free 1-hour webinar with the 2D animator and storyboard artist Pino Ieno aka NIPPYCHAN. In this first session, Pino will demonstrate how to develop a short animation, from rough drawings to clean-up. The presentation will cover setting up an animation scene, planning key poses, refining timing and movement, and creating clean drawings while preserving the energy of the rough animation. Through a practical example, participants will discover how each stage contributes to a clear and expressive performance, with tips for keeping character shapes and proportions consistent throughout the process. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.

Pino Ieno aka NIPPYCHAN is an Italian freelance 2D animator, storyboard artist, and digital illustrator based in Rome. His credits include the video game Bye Sweet Carole, Baby Puffins, and Il segreto di Liberato, with work spanning hand-drawn animation and storyboarding. Alongside his production work, he teaches animation at Acca Academy in Rome. Inspired by the expressive possibilities of traditional animation, he brings a strong focus on character performance, clear posing, and fluid movement to both his professional projects and his teaching.
