Marcelo will present a creative journey to transform beloved movie characters into captivating toys for children. The webinar focus will be on maintaining the essence of these characters while adapting their designs to be both kid-friendly and playful. By the end of this presentation, attendees will have gained insight into the thoughtful process of transforming movie characters into toys, emphasizing the balance between staying true to the original design and making the toy appealing, safe, and suitable for children. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.

About the presenter

Marcelo Matere has a dream job: he draws giant robots for toys, video games, and comics. He works with big companies like Disney, Hasbro, and Marvel, creating art for Transformers toys and designing toys for franchises like Star Wars and Marvel. He also designed characters for Disney's animation Penn Zero: Part Time Hero and games like Transformers: War for Cybertron. Besides, he illustrated children's books about Transformers and Iron Man. Currently, he's responsible for penciling the robots and background packaging art for Hasbro's Transformers Studio Series 86, based on the beloved 1986 Transformers: The Movie Animated Cartoon.
