How did you become an artist?

I have been drawing my entire life, it just felt natural to me. Since I was a child, what I aimed for was to create the stories that vividly formed in my head and bring them into life, or try to honor the characters I loved the most from my favorite shows. Through art I found that way, and I haven't stopped since then! Art has been my life savior, and even nowadays when I am feeling strong emotions and I need to let them out somehow, I will pick up my tablet and go for it.

As I grew up I also found art as a career, and started seriously taking it as my full time job. Nothing better than working from what I love the most.

Where do you get inspiration?

I find inspiration mostly in the work of other colleagues and artists that work in movies and shows I love a lot. I collect tons of artbooks, including between them both volumes of Sonic´s Spiderverse movies, asides with others from famous digital artists like Loish, Devin Elle and Gretelusky that I always keep in hand for when I need a good amount of inspiration.

Manga has also been a great source, I especially love all the work of Junji Ito and Kamome Shirahama, I have their work always at hand because their styles are magical!

What’s your hardware setup?

I use a Wacom One for drawing digitally, as well as an Acer Nitro 5 laptop with an Nvidia Geforce RTX graphic card.

What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

I enjoy the functions Clip Studio Paint delivers. It's a whole set full of so many useful tools that accelerate and make it even easier the process of doing a piece. I love features like the 3D models which saved me a lot of time when it comes to perspective, or being able to open many layers around for references.

The color palette history has been a great tool for me for accessing colors I use on a daily basis quickly, and the timelapse option is wonderful for uploading my process in a speedpaint format in social media.

How long does it take you to make a single illustration?

I´m very messy in my process, so around 4-5 hours! I would say more or less depending if I'm feeling in “The Zone”, or the complexity of the piece itself.

How has Clip Studio Paint improved your workflow?

As I got more into creating webcomics, Clip Studio Paint has been amazing while formatting webtoons. Not to mention the Assets section, many of the tools that I use come from there and having an entire gallery where you can download and upload brushes and such from the community is a great help!

Also as I own the EX version, I can certainly say Clip Studio Paint is a full powerhouse including the animation feature. I can pretty much rely on Clip Studio for pretty much everything I need.

Would you like to promote a recent project?

Absolutely yes! At this time I'm working on two projects based on stories of my own, “The Carmine Witch”, a horror story about a witch hunter and his unfortunate re-encounter with a past lover who went through the paths of evil and comes back desiring revenge, and “Memo”, a story about a young kid in search of his lost memories while being haunted by an entity who wishes to destroy what's left of them. You can see bits of both on my socials and luckily soon on webcomic platforms

Where can we follow your work?
