How did you become an artist?
I have always drawn, for as long as I can remember. In Southern Italy it is difficult to work in art, which is why my family was against it at first. After graduating from the academy of fine arts in set design, I decided to go back to drawing and make it my job. This year my second book was published and I also worked on an animated series.
Where do you get inspiration?
I take inspiration from everything around me, I watch many films and TV series and I read a lot both graphic novels and manga. I grew up surrounded by anime and animated films, I love Studio Ghibli, both for the expressiveness and for the clarity of the lines they use.
What’s your hardware setup?
I use a Huion Kamvas 13 and a PC assembled RTX 3060 ASUS video card and 32 Gb ram.
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?
I like the vastness of material and the infinite library shared among users. The fact that in the same software it is possible to animate, draw comics and web-novels.
How long does it take you to make a single illustration?
It depends on the complexity of the subject, usually from 2 to 4 hours.
How has Clip Studio Paint improved your workflow?
I am faster when I draw more complex perspectives and when I color . Creating comic pages is much faster since I have pre-set grids that I can modify to my liking.
