How did you become an artist?

I became an artist because my father used to draw what I called “Barbies” back then (I was 3yo) for me to color in. After he left I decided it was time to draw my own barbies. I suppose ever since I’ve always wanted my own vision to be out there. Eventually, I discovered DeviantArt and it encouraged me so much to continue my artistic pursuits.

Where do you get inspiration?

I’m sure this is a common enough answer, but inspiration is everywhere. Any piece of art in any medium from games to music is a great way to feed your inspiration. In a more practical sense, Pinterest is a fantastic tool. I like to collect some great visuals in an app called PUREREF to look at when I'm lacking inspiration.

What’s your hardware setup?

I use an Intuos Pro M and a Cintiq Pro 32” for my PC work, and an iPad Pro 12” for whenever I’m not working at my PC.

What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

Despite the fact that I’m so new to Clip Studio Paint, it manages to impress with how thoroughly & thoughtfully it considers the artistic process in all its features. You can tell when using Clip Studio Paint that the developers want it to be a true asset to artists.

How long does it take you to make a single illustration?

This is a very topical question for me at this time. The answer depends on my personal ambitions for the piece. I’d say it takes me upwards of 10 hours for something I aim to be proud of.

Would you consider Clip Studio Paint an industry tool?

Absolutely. It meets many neglected needs for artists.
