How did you become an artist? 

Ever since I was little I enjoyed drawing. I used to come home from kindergarten and draw all day. I think my disability played a big role in my interest for art. I have spina bifida so I wasn’t able to go out and play like other kids my age. I began spending more time with my pencils and I became passionate it. I was know as the “artist type” in highschool. It felt nice having something that people saw in me other than my disability. It wasn’t until I started sharing my art online that I seriously started thinking about a career in art. It was the best decision I made.

Where do you get inspiration?

 

Inspiration can come from everywhere for me. Most of the times a theme pops up in my mind and I start elaborating it more. Pictures, music, even colors can inspire me. When I don’t know what to draw, I like looking at inspiration boards on Pinterest. They can help you come up with a theme.

What’s your hardware setup?

I currently work on an iPad pro 2018. It’s the 12.9 because I feel more comfortable working on a larger screen. When I draw on my computer I use a Huion Kemvas.

What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

I remember the first time I discovered Clip Studio Paint a few years ago. I was amazed by the versatile brushes and how smooth the program worked. I think it’s a great program for any artist level!

How long does it take you to make a single illustration?

It can vary from 3 to 7 hours. I used to rush things but it really burned me out so I’m taking it slower now.

Would you consider Clip Studio Paint an industry tool?

Yes, definitely. Clip Studio comes with a lot of great tools. It’s in my top tier of art programs out there.
