How did you become an artist?

Since I was a kid, I grew up watching anime on TV. I've always drawn, but Dragon Ball was the show that made me fall in love with drawing, and I haven't stopped since. When I finished school, I wanted to study something related, but the closest thing I found was Graphic Design. Although it wasn't what I expected, it came in handy later. I ended up studying art on my own, and eventually I was able to quit my job as a designer to dedicate myself to being a digital artist!

Where do you get inspiration?

As I said before, my inspiration has always been anime, but so have comics like Marvel or DC, and video games. Artists like Shinkiro or Akiman in Capcom games, or more recently in comics like Dan Mora or Artgerm and Dave Rapoza. Those are the types of artists who inspire the type of art I make.

What’s your hardware setup?

I always use my Huion tablet on my desktop PC, since I come from a graphic design background, and it's where I've always felt most comfortable.

What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

Sometimes I struggle with creating a pose I have in mind and just can't quite pull it off. That's when Clip Studio's 3D tools have been a lifesaver. Thanks to them, I can search for poses and camera angles that would take forever to create from my imagination. It's a great tool that serves as a foundation for creating dynamic characters at any time!

How long does it take you to make a single illustration?

It depends on the complexity. If it's just a character, it could take 4-5 days, but if it's a full illustration, it could take up to 2 weeks.

How has Clip Studio Paint improved your workflow?

As I said before, what's helped me the most is planning the poses and camera angles before I start sketching. This saves me a lot of time when deadlines are approaching!

Would you like to promote some recent project?

I recently started doing variant covers for Marvel! If you see any on social media or in your local store, don't hesitate to tag me!
