How did you become an artist?
From a young age, I have always been extremely fond of drawing. As I grew up, art was the only hobby that stuck with me and soon my life began to revolve around it. I started taking art seriously when I was about 15 years old when I could see that the effort that I had put into my skills was starting to show. I then started to post my artwork on social media to share my love for drawing, and since then my name as an artist has grown quickly to my surprise. I am still quite new to the art industry since I am only 18 and just graduated high school this year, but I have been doing a lot of commission work, projects and participating in booths at events recently. I hope to do more in the future!
Where do you get inspiration?
I get inspiration from the coffee shops and bakeries that I visit! Their food just looks so cute that I have to draw it and capture the moment before it gets eaten. As for inspirational artists, I was very moved by the works of Maomomiji and Le Delicatessen.
What’s your hardware setup?
I use a Huion Kamvas 13 connected to my Macbook Air.
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?
Definitely the downloadable assets platform! It's so useful for getting new brushes and experimenting with them, as well as using 3D assets for sketching. I also really love the new liquify tool which is great for final touches in my drawings.
How long does it take you to make a single illustration?
They take me 3-4 full days depending on complexity.
How has Clip Studio Paint improved your workflow?
The efficient workspace setup really helps me speed up my processes and be organized when drawing. The workspace is not cluttered or complicated, which means that I can focus solely on my art piece!
