How did you become an artist?
It began when I started first grade. I loved cartoons (as any kid would) and I wanted to draw the characters that I liked at the time. If I remember correctly, they were Disney princesses and The Powerpuff Girls. I did just that! I drew a lot. I also made silly fan comics of them too! Eventually, I started to like creating and drawing characters of my own! I never took art seriously until I was in high school, though. That’s when I tried to actually learn and improve on my work! That is how I reached where I am today!
Where do you get inspiration?
I get inspiration from all the things that I love! Books, movies, TV shows, songs, you name it! Though, I will say music does influence me the most! I tend to daydream and make up scenarios of my characters to the song that I am listening to. That is where most of my ideas come from!
What’s your hardware setup?
I use Wacom Intuos and a PC with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050!
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?
I absolutely love how you can use the program for many things! Not only can I use it for simple illustrations but for animations and comics as well (though, I haven’t made a comic yet. I plan to, though!). The asset store is amazing too! I’ve found so many assets that have helped me with my art. The brush being able to switch between two colors and also a transparent one that acts like an eraser is such an amazing tool! The brush setting is just amazing overall and it allows me to customize brushes to my liking like never before!
How long does it take you to make a single illustration?
It really depends. If it is something simple, it will most likely take around 3-4 hours. If it is more complicated, it will take at least a few days!
How has Clip Studio Paint improved your workflow?
The program has so many features yet still remains simple to use. It doesn’t take a lot of time to adjust at all! The interface is clean and all the tools have saved me so many times and helped me so much!
